Mend Epson RX620 Printer Cartridges Fault

Non recognition of cartridges on RX620?

Our Epson RX620 has an intermittent fault with not recognising cartridges. We had it apart recently to clean the waste pads and fault has appeared since, could it be ribbon cable connections or is it cartridge chips?
