how can i stop webcam freezing on toshiba satellite L30-10Y?

hi i have bought 2 webcams and they both do the same thing and freezes when using them so i tried them on other laptop they work fine it doesn't happen at the same time either sometimes 5 mins then sometimes 10mins its driving me crazy!!!! so it must be my toshiba satellite L30-10Y laptop, the cam is now a creative live cam optia pro, i went dearer just in case, but it still happened, am thinking getting rid of it and getting same as wife's laptop but i think a £500 laptop should do what you want it to lol
