Mend La Z Boy Recliner Electric Mechanism

La Z Boy Recliner/Electric Foot rest doesn't go up?

We just got a La Z Boy recliner with the electric up/down mechanism from our Aunt. the chair back goes up and down, but not the foot rest. Any ideas on how to fix?
