desp seeking help electric reliner stuck?

hi there our two seater recliner was working great to day but we did not relies that the JM61 - 2 connector JLDP type recliner transformer - 8pin and 5pin got jammed into the recliner sliding mechanism and now its jammed with footrest up in a semi lie back position and it wont budge we did manage to remove the transformer from where it was trapped??? and I have looked at the transformer box and there isn't ant broken wires that I can see so I reconnected it and it still wont work the bar underneath at the back of the chair is bent due to the box being trapped in there between the sliding mechanism and the bar which we managed to free which did cause it to stall, but it still refused to work now we cant use that side of the two seater and we cant ask the shop as it was a friend that gave it to us and she has had it for over 9 years and its been working just fine until this transformer box slipped out of its cradle and got jammed between the sliding parts and the bar at the back of the chair now we are looking for some kind of reset button to make it go back into its sitting position for now until we can afford a new transformer as of just now the foot rest is sticking out .... please help thank you
