Mend Zanussi TC481W Tumble Dryer Drum Motor

How do i fit a belt to my zanussi condenser dryer TC481W?

I have tried to fit a new belt but it is too slack and will not move the drum, there is some play where the motor sits but cant get it to stay where the belt will be tight.

Zanussi Zanussi TC481W Household Appliances, Tumble Dryers Tumble Dryer Drum Motor

remove the spring that tensions the motor to the base.push the motor as far as it will go inwards,in to the middle of the dryer.fit the belt around the drum and motor drive shaft and then refit the spring.as you pull on the spring to clip it into the base it will tension the belt.job done!
