is it the tube & how to change a tube?

How can I change the tube on my tv? I have bought another philips 32" widescreen (2nd hand) and the speakers are dodgy on it. So, I want to take the tube out and add it to my other one. I think it was the tube that was going. It had green on edges of white??? If it wasn't the tube, what was it
