the unit is trying to ignite, you can hear it every 30 seconds or so, there is plenty of oil but no joy.

Sounds like the Burner is Cycling Like Riello's do,

Get an OFTEC Engineer to Service, might just need cleaning out, but could be problem with oil pump or solenoid
