Mend Motor Relay Click

compressor wont cut in?

My Compressor motor wont cut in when air drops.The relay switch click sounds but motor hums. I straight away go to the manual switch and after a few on/off movements cuts in.Maybe a few shots of electricial fault spray may work ?? Thanks

I have a feeling here that the start windings are failing on your compressor motor. Basically if you turn an AC motor on, it doesn't know which way to go, so there are starting windings inside which pulse the motor into turning the correct way. Likely to get worse!
