Cafamosa CF255 will not switch on?

I have an AEG CaFamosa CF255 automatic espresso coffee machine and it will not switch on. The water bracket that goes into the brewing unit broke and I replaced this. However, now when all it is back together I switch it on and I can hear a click of a relay and it switches off. If I pull out the coffee waste tray, then the light comes on red for this, the heater light flashes green and it doesn't do very much. There seems to be no water pumping anywhere. Also, if I pull the front flap to get into the brewing unit, the motor turns and the new bracket I fitted moves as it should.
I have checked all the internal fuses as well and these seem fine.Anyone any ideas? I cannot find a service manual from anywhere either as it was not released in the UK...
