Laguna II Drivers Door Handle?

hi bob! Really sorry i haven't a solution but the reason i'm adding onto this thread is that i have the exact same problem! i have bought a second hand door to use the donor solenoid mechanism but cannot remove the solenoid mechism from the handle....i dont see any way how to remove the cable at either end (is it a complete unit and not meant to be seperated from the 2 cables going to the inner and outer handles do u think?) and i too have loosened the screw behind rubber grommet but it doesnt seem to do anything!!!! I woud be most grateful if you could add onto this thread if you found a solution cos i've spent ages trying to solve this and my blood pressures going through the roof and my wifes scared to talk to me! lol
