car radio wont come of safemode?

i have o2 corsa there is power getting to the radio its self but the on/off button dosent seem to be working so i carnt come of safemodeto code up it is a vauxall make radio cdr 2005 vdo the trouble seems to be on the front switch plate that plugs into the back of the cd/radio
