how can i fix my key?

i can not lock my car from the key,i have to do it manualy!i have put a new battery in,no luck!
it is a peugeot 206 2 litre gti on a w plate!

try putting ignition on, pressing lock button on key down for ten seconds, if your key is ok it should work now.
