Mend Overflow Pipe Valve

Turning off water supply?

We have a dripping overflow pipe. We suspect we may have to adjust the valve. But meanwhile we want to know which way to turn off the water supply tap ... clockwise or anti clockwise.

Clockwise. Once you have turned it try and see if water flows into the tank
