how do i stop dripping?

If the water is going down the overflow outlet and dripping the height of the ballcock is to HIGH before the water is shutting off if the ballcock bar is copper slightly bend the bar down,if the bar is plastic undo the lock nut and turn the screw inwards tighten the lock nut afterwards.

Tank should have a isolation valve as near to tank as possible makes it easier to work on .
