not to forget as well that we the plumbers are the ones who use our fuel our van our telephones our gas our screws our fittings our tools and our time when we went to nightschool (when others was living it up) and learnt the the trade so £60 isn't that bad to come to your house diagnose the problem then to crawl through a dust ridden loft space banging our heads and be very careful not to come through your ceiling or like brian said cheaper if you know what your doing and can fix it yourself but then you still have to go and fetch parts borrow tools etc.

it all depends on access it can take as little as 15 mins to an hour or more not including travel time etc. which many people forget about i would think that £60 isn't too bad even cheaper if you do it yourself though
