The shower has two openings at the bottom of the shower, one of which is where the shower head connects to, the other seems to have no purpose, however all of a sudden water is gushing through. The shower head is not now working as there isn't enough pressure, it seems that a plug is required, but don't know where to buy this from.

Stop using your shower!
Because you've blocked the pressure relief valve with an allen key all that can happen when pressure builds up is that the water heater will explode and scald you. Get it fixed properly by replacing the pressure relief valve or get your shower replaced.

The pressure relief valve has blown, and it will need to be replaced. looks like a small pipe with a little ball in it

Hi, I have a Trident Opel shower with same problem, have you still not come accross the solution yet? would be keen to know. good luck. for the moment i have blocked it off using an allen key that fits great. The shower appears to be funtioning hapily tho'.
