Best test with a multimeter, but most switches have their switch connections opposite each other not side by side, (each switch is a wafer). If you haven't got a multimeter try this as a last resort only. Connect the live incomer to one pole the Load live to what you think is the opposite pole and connect the Neutrals together remote from the switch. If the switch works ok, then connect the Neutrals to the other remaining connections.
