How to replace power switch on Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum?

What covers or screws do I need to remove to replace the on/off power switch? Its a wind tunnel self propelled vacuum. Model U6425-920. Wife tried to turn on, said sparks came out at switch. Vacuum will not work now. I think it must be this switch. I have tried to remove by removing screws from movable handle and the screw by switch, can't seem to pull handle apart, don't want to break by prying to hard. Is the correct procedure?
