The Washer Bottle IS full of fluid, When the buttons is pressed the washer bottle pump can be heard tho' no water comes out to screen (only a very few drips)
Not sure if you have had this sorted but I had the same problem on my X-Type. The washer bottle had dirt in it so the garage removed the bottle and gave it a good steam clean. It's been fine since. Hope it helps.
