how do i reprogram my remote on my 1999 s type jaguar?

you could try these

JAGUAR

XJ8 Remote Control Programming

1. Unlock the Boot with key.

2. Turn Ignition on.

3. Warning light on dash comes on.

4. When they go out, lift arm rest, inside their is a valley button, Press 5 times within 5 secs of lights on dash going out, Horn & Lights Flash.

5. Press any button on remote, remote programmed.


or

FORD Mondeo 98½> Scorpio 95> (Radio 3 Button) - Key Remote Programming(some jags same system as ford)

1. Turn Ignition 4 times from 0 to I, ending at position I. A tone should sound.

2. Press the Remote Unlock button – another tone should sound.

3. Additional Remotes can be added by repeating Step 2, within ten seconds of each remote.

4. To exit turn Ignition to 0 – another audible sound should be made.

Open the driver side door.

Step 2

Turn the ignition switch to the 'auxiliary' position, then turn the ignition switch to the
'ON' position and back to the 'auxiliary' position four times. *This must be done fairly quickly. If you have done it correctly, you will hear a chime come from the GEM*

Turn the ignition switch to 'OFF' position.

Remove the key from the ignition.

To program the transmitter, press any key within ten seconds. **If it worked, you should hear another chime come from the GEM**

put it in the ignition, turn to lights on dash on and press and hold the button for 20 seconds, not sure which one, but it only has 2.
