Mend Hoover 1500 Vacuum Cleaner Repair Filters

Is it worth repairing?

My Hoover Vortex 1500 has totally stopped working and after cleaning filters and checking everything it looks OK but doesn't come on. It did have a lot of use prior to this and was working OK until I turned it off.
It is 9 years old. Is it worth paying for a repair?
