Mend Renault RT Sports Light 2000

Stop light on dashboard stays on Renault Megane RT Sports, 2000?

The red STOP sign on the dashboard, opposite the Service sign will not go out. I had the timing belt changed and from that time this light stays on, no other light comes on with it to state what the problem is and no mechanic can seem to pinpoint the problem
