Please advise on the wiper problem as stated below?

Peugeotv406 Rapier. Reg:-March 2000.
Re: wipers with electronic sensor.
After five minutes use the wipers will stop when ever it feels like it and where ever it wants too,at the flick
of the switch it starts again straight away. After working for a little while the procedure fault starts all over again.I have had a new switch fitted and has made no differents. Can anybody please HELP? Thanking you in advance.
