Mend Epson DX4800 Black White Colour

Want to print black and white on Epson DX4800 only?

I have run out of colour ink but have a new black cartridge. I want to print B&W only but get error message telling me I have run out of the 3 other colours. How do I get my printer to understand that I only want B&W? I have set Print Advanced option to B&W only
