My Sky+ box is frozen in standby mode following a power cut?

Hi, Depending on which type, remove viewing card unplug receiver then depending on model either hold down the two < > buttons or the backup button and then repower the receiver holding the buttons till all the lights come on the unit and on the TV it will downloading software when the lights have come on and you see this message release the buttons and wait till the download has finished it will take some time DO NOT touch any buttons or the remote or turn off the receiver till the download is complete the the receiver sholud reboot it's self when complete and request you to insert veiwing card I hope this works for you ...there are problem fix Disc's on Ebay for most problems and they are very cheap. is there a switch at the back of your sky box if so switch off for 10 secs switch back on try that
