My Gainsborough SV800 shower has died - how do I work out what kw shower I can replace it with? Not sure what the difference is between 8.5 & 9,5

When you put shower on it starts off hot but does not maintain the heat and starts to run warm

difference is 1000 watts, go to consumer unit locate the shower fuse and note the RATTING of the fuse device.
8500/230 is rated at 36.9 amps, 9500/230 41.3amps
If your fuse is only 40 amps MAX, 8.5K/Watt is the size to fit
