Mend Gainsborough 10.5 SCL Shower Stopped Working

Shower stopped working?

Took a look at a shower for a friend (a gainsborough 10.5 scl) there was no water coming out the hose, poked a bout for a while and got it to work by pressing down on a wee double switch, think its a pressure switch?? but once i turned the shower off then on again, the switch will not pull in... can i replace this switch on do i need a new engine??? Please help
