Mend Ariston micro genius Boiler Overheat Reset

Ariston mircro genius boiler the overheat light comes on?

during the course off the day, our boiler keeps going onto reset mode. the overheat light goes on along with the reset button. Some times at night when the boiler is not being used I can hear the fan come on so i go and have a look and the reset button is lit up. when I press it the boiler fires up for a fes seconds the switches off
