Mend Hoover Tumble Drier Drum

Hoover Hdv6 6kg tumble drier. Drum will not turn?

The drum will not start to turn. If I use the weight of the cloths (stacked up on one side of the drum) to help it start the drum will start to get going slowly.
Once the drum is running it will run at full speed and it will run to the end of the cycle.
I dont think that the belt is slipping could it be the motor.

Can anybody help?

my tumble dryer is doing the same. i have taken the top off & started the drum spinning manually. if the same applies to you it is almost certainly the motor.
