opel zafira engine change help needed ?

hi ive bought a v reg opel zafira 1.6 16v with the engine damaged some how the con rod has snapped and gone through the sump what would be best to fix it or to buy another engine if i buy another engine would it be a straight forward job or will the ecu have to replaced for me i would rather change the engine but whats the best way to get it running again please help
