dpf valve on a diesel engine?

I've been told that the dpf valve on the exhaust system on my zafira diesel is probably blocked. Where is it siuated on the exhaust system and how do I clean it?

think you are on about your particulate filter,you could try giving your motor a long run at high revs to get the exhaust really hot to burn off carbon deposits,if that fails then it will have to go to someone with the correct equipment to get the filter re denerated,could be expensive.
