Need to fix my cuisinart automatic grind & brew thermal?

The grinder in my cuisinart keeps sticking & is extremely difficult to remove (for a few weeks now) - this morning when trying to remove it the knob on the lid part broke off - still have not been able to remove grinder - can you help?
