why does the pilot light keep going out?and why is the flame yellow/orange in colour?

Potterton Potterton Flamingo 50 Heating, Home Heating Systems Potterton Pilot Going

You have answered your own question.The flame on the pilot wont be warming the tip of the thermocouple correctly and thats why it is going out.It will need servicing to remedy the situation.
