Problem with Pilot Light on Puma 80 - Please Help ?

Hi,
Can You help me please ?

The Pilot Light on my Puma 80 keeps going out.

If I switch on my Central Heating and run it for about 30 minutes or more, and THEN decide to run the hot water as well, to wash the dishes or take a shower for example; as soon as I turn the hot water off, I hear a CLICK and the pilot light goes out.

This happens EVERY time I run the hot water while the central heating is switched on.

The pilot light is perfectly fine if I just run the central heating on its own, or if I just run the hot water on its own.

But as soon as I have them both on at the same time, the pilot light goes out.

Any Ideas ?

My system pressure is fine, between 1 - 2 Bars, there are no leaks of any kind and no funny noises.

I have replaced the thermocoupling assembly, but it didn't help.

Please, Please, Please help.....
Thank You

I am not trying to scare anybody, payment does not come into the frame. To replace the thermocouple on this boiler you have to access the inner parts of the boiler which means breaking the seal on the combustion chamber, that means you have carried out 'work' on that boiler and you then and I quote''Where a person carries out work on a gas appliance he shall immediately thereafter examine:
a, the effectiveness of any flue;
b,the supply of combustion air;
c,its operating pressure or heat input, or where necessary,both;
d, its safe functioning.
Does that really sound like the sort of thing joe public is qualified to do ? Lets face it some things are best left to those who know what they are doing and are suitably qualified to do it.

Don't let him scare you - the regulations are here...

The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998

http://www.miketheboilerman.com/gsiur.htm

An offence is committed if an unregistered person accepts payment and tampers with the gas and the part you replaced is connected to water at one end and electricity at the other - it has nothing whatsoever to do with gas.

Your boiler needs the attention of a CORGI engineer. You have actually committed an offence under the Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations by working in this appliance if you are not CORGI registered.It probably needs a strip service and it certainly doesnt sound as if you are qualified to do this.

Combination boilers can only run either the heating or the hot water
it sounds like the boielr is getting too hot on HW could be the thermister or the wax capsul in the diverter valve
