Mend LG DR4912 Dvd Screen White

when i switch on my dvd recorder i get sparkles on the screen?

the make of my recorder is lg dr4912 and when i switch it on i get a multi coloured screen followed by white dots before settling down once it has settled down it stays stable,can you help with this problem.
