How to fix the cord holder?

I have a Hoover bagless windtunnel turbopower 6500 vacumn.
I love the power it has and love the machine. I had several overnight guest here over the holidays. I went to use the vacumn and see that the plastic handle that holds to bottom of the cord in place has been broken off. Any helpful hints on how to repair it? It keeps the cord safely in place. Otherwise it is loose and all tangled. Many thanks!!

That's a replaceable part. It prys out with a screwdriver and the new one pushes in and locks. Part number 3944201P.
