Mend Fisher & Paykel GW709AU Washing Machine Motor Spin

How can I fix my F&P washer model GW709AU?

My F&P washer (model GW709AU) fills with water but will not do anything else. 'Long wash' & 'Short wash' leds come on & machine Beeps every second. Can spin motor by hand from underneath. Thanks for any ideas.

Long & short wash lights = Fault code 136 Motor stall. Means controller can't start motor. Check the following:- Check bowl & agitator will turn by hand freely. If not then bearings may be seizing up.
2. Open panel & locate harness plug for motor & pump. This will have 5 wires. White & Brown are going to drain pump. Red-Blue-Yellow are for motor. Pull plug off control board & using an ohms meter check resistance between Red-Blue pins, then Blue-Yellow pins & finally Red-Yellow pins. Should be as close to 32 ohms as possible. If ok then lay machine down on front panel & remove rotor bowl & then copper wired stator. Inspect for damage or corrosion. Also check RPS circuit board mounted on top edge of stator for burning or corrosion. Replace if damaged. If inspection reveals no problems then you may need to replace control module.
