Mend Vokera Excell 80 SP Pressure Help

pressure too high on vokera excell 80 sp?

please help i was turning the pressure up on my vokera excell 80sp and it went up to 4 and started making a very loud banging noise. i have turned the boiler off and the only thing that stops the noise is running water.
Any advice what to do??

outside Glasgow, i am not a British Gas customer they said to phone back at 8am, cannot get a hold of anyone else, just scared it blows up!!

i bled radiator until it went to 1 bar turned the running water off & it just started banging again so just going to run water until can get engineer in the morning
