Mend John Deere Lawn Mower Engine Stalls

my john deer stalls when i engage the blades?

in not quite sure what kind or model it is its old though but when you engage the blades they spin for a min than the engine stalls.......please help

try using the choke when you engage the blades. hold choke for 2 - 3 seconds then release the choke.
