when i start my briggs and powell quantum xm 35 lawnmower, the enginerevs are all over the place. when the revs are set to normal cuting speed the rev start to pulse. on slow speed it just stalls
It could be something called the diaghrapm, which is situated between the carburettor and the fuel tank on some models. If this is damaged it can cause the symptoms you mention.
