diplomat apl1304 hob?

I have one of the above and am having trouble with it.
Intermittently when I try to turn the different burners on they refuse to do so any ideas?

Hi Barry,is it all the elements or just the small ones.It is more than likely the terminal block at the rear where the mains cable goes in.All the best.
