I need to fit a new fan to my boiler I've had a few quotes between £200-£300 just to fit it, i'm also told by these plumbers it will take no longer that 45min-1hour, so i thought this was a bit to much to pay like a ripoff.
so i thought i will do it myself can anybody give me an idiots guide to fitting this, & are there any pressure checks that need to be conducted or special tools required. thanks for the help..
if you feel competent, remove the boiler front cover by lifting, use pozidrive screwdriver to remove 4 screws on combustion chamber cover. Remove fan connections (note which connections they go on) and remove 3 screws and plastic tubes (note which goes where). Gently pull fan out. Putting the new fan in is the reverse. Be careful not to break the little plastic fan blades.
