Call the factory and carefully and politely explain your problem. Often, the technicians will know the most likely suspect in any failure. You may have to ask good questions. Certainly better than the one you asked here. Be sure to include all the details. Who What When Where and How. Plus, was it new or used, how often was it used. What is the average temperature, how is it mounted, what accessories are connected to it, etc. additionally include the precise model and serial number, whether you bought it new or used, and if it has possibly been dropped or mishandled.

Write your question and all your information down before you call and make it sound informed and concerned. In short, do your homework well.

If you try to shortcut things and cobb it like any dummy would, you will not impress and the technicians won't care to help you. If you are lazy, you'll never get an answer. I know, I'm a technician and if there is anything we hate it's some dummy with nothing going on. You'll get the answer you look for, as well as how you can fix it if you follow my suggestions.

If not, why bother. You can't fix it if you can't respond to technicians and gett them on your side.

I work in a different field (computers) but I have had people call technicians at Samsung and get nothing. I bought the broken set from the angry dummy and called Samsung with all the right info and they helped me find the problem over the phone. I bought the $2,400 TV for $600 because the owner wouldn't spend the time to do it right. The technicians guided into replacing a $47.00 circuit board and it works fine. He called five times and got nothing.

Get it?

Good luck.
