Mend Renault Clio Started

lack of power with my renaualt clio?

I have a y plate renault clio and yesterday it started to lose power and would not go at all, even with my pedal to the floor - lack of power and speed. It is now broke down.....Someone said it maybe my spark plugs, but as my warning lights are on i fear it maybe an something worst???
