Mend Ford Mondeo Heater Work

Ford Mondeo P-1996 1.8LX?

Heater problems

The heater would only work on setting 4. So I've replaced the resistor/controller located passenger side, below glove box on right underside.

But the hot/cold knob seems to spring back, when turned, and having no effect on the temerature. It seem to be stuck...

Any comments greately appreciated. T.I.A

Sounds like you've caught the link cable/rod between the control knob and matrix.
