How do i fix my diplomat dishwasher?

how do i fix my diplomat dishwasher as the flap where you put the tablet in does not open during any cycle

Diplomat Diplomat DWC60W Kitchen Appliances, Dishwashers Dishwasher Tablet Cycle

You don't actually need to put the tablet in the slot provided. Just putting it in the bottom of the machine will give the same result.
