Mend Thomson DTI6300-16 Television Red Light

How can I fix my Thomson Digital Television Recorder DTI6300-16?

Recorder was on standby, when I went to switch it on the red LCD light just kept flashing. Tried switching it off but every time I connect power the red light starts to flash again, even leaving it to tune in does not help. It just won't turn on.

Mine has done the same on Tues 2nd Dec (flashing red light/not responding) so I rang Top-up TV who said they were aware of this problem but have no fix for it at present!! they told me to continue calling them to see if they manage to find a fix!!!!
