Mend creda tvr2 Changed Not Turning

creda simplicity tvr2 belt changed drum not turning ?

Fitted a new drive belt to this machine started the machine again the drum isn't turning and there was a smell of burning. Any ideas advice would be greatly appreciated!!

remove lid press start, turn drum by hand, if it goes but stops when time comes to change direction, replace capacitor. if it has been running too long in this condition stats will have tripped too
