my tumble dryer motor will not turn, or turns and then stops after a few seconds and hums. It will turn freely by hand without power on, but once under power the rotor feels seized and cannot be turned. I have changed the capacitor but just the same. it is a white knight 447wv
hey thanks for the fast response.
don't suppose the timer would cause the problem would it?
What can go wrong with such a simple motor?
the windingis complete, about 44 ohms
Or the replacement capacitor also being duff from new?
unlikely I know, but I think if its the motor then it won't be worth mending:(

would of said capacitor but if you have done this then it has to be a motor issue.
