How do I replace Rear Windscreen Wiper Motor P38 Range Rover?

The cover over the nut holding the wiper blade on is only made of plastic, I slid my fingers under the skirt and rather than try to pull the cover off at 90dgrees - which you can't as there is no room, you need to hold the curved part of it, (the end) then get a screwdriver in your right hand, inderneath the straight edge part of the cover that sits on top of the wiper and just prize it up about half an inch then pull it with your left
hand horizintally and it almost pings off. This was the part that I was most concerned about before starting the job but it almost just unclips itself once you get the screwdriver under it. A powerful light is a good idea in there too. The 10mm nut is the revealed and it's quite easy to get a spanner in there to undo it. Next, prize the wipe arm up, probably need a bit of WD40 and the screwdriver again to coax it off. There is a plastic cowelling that goes iver the motor spindle which just lifts off to reveal another large nut, I used an adjustable spanner for that one but it came of very easily with a spray. Now lift the back gate and remove the plastic trim, 3 screws either side, 2 short and middle one long. Unplug the wire cluster, two 10mm bolts with rubber bushes hold the motor on to the door and it's off. Once the new one is replaced, before attaching the wiper arm, tirn on and press the back wiper switch on the steering colomn and go to the back of the car and watch the motor spindle rotate. After about 4 rotations it should be fully in a position where the wiper blade can be attached at an angle about in inch below the bottom of the skirt. Tighten up the nut and give it a try to see where the wiper ends up and if it is going far enough across the whole window, it took me about 4 different positions to get it an even sweep. Tip, when trying to see if it is in the right position, alway tighten the nut fully up else the wiper will slip and not fully travel, it is not very forgiving. I know because I didn't actually need to buy a new motor as the nut had only loosend causing the arm to drop to a vertical position and I assumed the motor had gone as most wipers press on the spindle and only need a nut for extra security.
